This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin at the Edge'. Both the albums did not receive much success, and Ford disappeared from the rock world for several years. The smash hit album Lita was released in 1989, served as the trigger for her return. It was a big smash for the track "Kiss Me Deadly," along with the ballad , 'Close My Eyes Forever. Unfortunately, the success in her professional career was brief and over a long period of time she was absent from the entertainment industry. Then she returned with the release of "Black" in 1995 as well as 'Wicked Wonderland' fifteen years after. In 2016, her latest album, 'Time Capsule, was released. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
